As the first step in a new social journey for Roam users, Roam has introduced a Certification System to ensure the quality of the Roam WiFi Network and recognize users who actively contribute to the ecosystem’s growth. This initiative aligns with Roam’s vision of bringing Web2 and Web3 together, creating a more seamless and connected experience for all users.
Here’s an overview of how the Roam Certification System works and the benefits of getting your WiFi and account certified.
Roam Certification System and Its Benefits
The Roam Certification System is a new feature on the Roam App designed to categorize WiFi networks and users based on their reliability and activity. The system introduces two visual certification marks: Gold and Blue. These marks will be granted to WiFi networks and accounts that meet specific criteria.
This system brings significant benefits to both users and the Roam ecosystem. First, it ensures that users can easily identify reliable, high-quality WiFi networks, enhancing safety and promoting a seamless WiFi experience. Second, by establishing clear certification standards, Roam encourages both users and network providers to maintain WiFi health status and participate in validating the network with in-app activities. Lastly, Roam uses this system to recognize its top contributors and WiFi networks, rewarding them with special rewards such as token airdrops or exclusive gift boxes.
How It Works
1. Certified WiFi
WiFi on the Roam Network can achieve either Gold Mark or Blue Mark. When your WiFi receives the mark, it signifies that it has been validated by multiple certified users and meets specific quality standards. This visual mark will be visible on the Roam App, allowing users to confidently connect to these nodes for a smoother, safer, and more reliable connection. In addition, when Certified Users Check-In to any Certified WiFi, they have a chance to receive special rewards from Roam.
How to Get Your WiFi Certified:
Roam Miner WiFi — The Gold Mark
- Roam WiFi Miner
- Checked-In by at least 3 Certified Users
- Provide a desired OpenRoaming coverage

2. Certified Users

This mark will be displayed next to your account profile photo on the Roam App. By achieving this mark, you can earn special rewards, such as Roam token airdrops or mystery gift boxes filled with valuable items.
