Roam Pilot “Burning” Pool: How to Convert Your Roam Points into $ROAM Tokens
At the heart of the Roam ecosystem, Roam Points play a key role in incentivizing and rewarding users for their contributions to the network’s expansion. Roam Points bring versatility to the network, letting users participate in in-app activities, unlock premium features, and much more.
As the TGE is coming closer, Roam has created a pilot “burning” pool for users to experience the “burning” process and get familiar with it. There are 3 pilot “burning” pools. Each pool is designed to suit different types of users based on their contributions to the Roam Network: General “Burning” Pool, Miner “Burning” Pool, and Sticker “Burning” Pool.
In this article, we will provide comprehensive insights into each “burning” pool, covering how they work, the participation rules, and tips on maximizing your rewards.
What is a Pilot “Burning” Pool?
A pilot “burning” pool is a beta testing feature in the Roam App that allows users to convert their Roam Points into $ROAM tokens. When points are burned, they are permanently removed from circulation, and in return, users receive $ROAM tokens. The conversion rate for each cycle is dynamic and determined by the total number of points being burned and tokens generated in a specific timeframe. Although token emissions for each cycle are fixed, the rate can vary—“burning” points at the right moment could yield higher returns, and vice versa.
The Roam Pilot “Burning” Pool operates in cycles, each lasting 1,000 seconds. Users can choose a minimum of 10 cycles and a maximum of 1,000 cycles. Once a cycle duration is selected, the Roam Points are locked for that period and cannot be unlocked earlier. If a cycle is in progress, the remaining time to join the next cycle will be displayed. Users can only join the next available cycle once the current one ends.
The $ROAM tokens will be available to claim after TGE. To optimize your $ROAM token earnings, it’s essential to carefully plan both the number of points you convert and the number of cycles you commit to.
Roam offers three distinct pilot “burning” pools: the General “Burning” Pool, which is open to all Roam users; the Miner “Burning” Pool, reserved for Roam miner owners; and the Sticker “Burning” Pool, available to users actively validating the WiFi network and collecting stickers. These pools are now live on the Roam app, allowing you to explore and get fully prepared before the TGE.
How Tokens Are Calculated
Formula: (Total tokens released in this cycle) ÷ (Total Roam Points burned in this cycle) x (Your Roam Points burned)
Example: In Cycle 1, User A burns 1,000 Roam Points, and User B burns 2,000 Roam Points, splitting their points into equal parts (Cycle = 1,000). The total burned is 3 points in this cycle (1 from User A and 2 from User B). If the number of tokens released is 30, we have this result: User A earns 10 tokens, while User B receives 20 tokens based on their respective contributions.
In Cycle 2, if User C joins by putting in 3,000 Roam Points (Cycle = 1,000), increasing the total burned to 6 points per cycle (1 from User A, 2 from User B and 3 from User C). With the same 30 tokens released, the earnings adjust proportionally: User A receives 5 tokens, User B earns 10 tokens, and User C takes 15 tokens.
This highlights how earnings shift as more participants join the pool, emphasizing the importance of strategic timing and contributions. Shorter “burning” periods deliver faster rewards but with greater volatility, while longer periods provide more stable and predictable returns.
1. The General “Burning” Pool
The General “Burning” Pool is open to all Roam users, offering a straightforward way to turn your Roam Points into $ROAM. To join the pool, users need to convert a minimum of 500 Roam Points and choose their desired cycle. Users earn $ROAM tokens based on the amount of their burned Roam Points in relation to the total burned in the cycle. Once all the cycles are complete, you can claim your $ROAM tokens directly in your Roam wallet after TGE.
Tips to maximize your rewards.
- Before joining the pool, check your balance, decide on the number of Roam Points to burn, and select the optimal number of cycles for your goals.
- After each cycle, review your strategy as more users joining can affect your rewards. Keep earning more Roam Points by completing quests to maximize your potential.
2. The Miner “Burning” Pool
The Miner “Burning” Pool offers a unique opportunity exclusively for Roam miners, including the Rainier MAX60, Baker MAX30, and OG Miner. This pool allows miners to burn Roam Points earned through mining activities, miner registration, or rewards from user Check-Ins at their miner location. Only Roam Points generated from these specific miners are eligible for this pool. To join the pool, users need to burn a minimum of 500 Roam Points. With fewer participants in this pool, it may result in higher conversion rates compared to the General Pool.
- Increase your quota by registering new miners or boosting income from existing ones.
3. The Sticker “Burning” Pool
The Sticker “Burning” Pool is designed for users who own Roam stickers, which can be collected by participating in Roam events and Check-In activities. The amount of Roam Points you can burn in this pool depends on the quantity and rarity of the stickers.
- Common stickers = 50 points.
- Rare stickers = 100 points.
- Epic stickers = 250 points.
- Legendary stickers = 1,000 points.
For instance, if you select 10 Rare stickers, you are allowed to burn 1,000 Roam Points in this pool. To join this pool, a minimum of 500 Roam Points must be burned. After “burning”, the stickers will be stamped and cannot be reused in other cycles.

- Before joining the pool, check your balance and stickers, decide on the number of stickers and roam points you can burn, then select the optimal number of cycles for your goals.
- After each cycle, review your strategy as more users joining can affect your rewards. Keep earning more Roam Points by completing quests to maximize your potential.
- Increase your quota by Checking-In at any Roam WiFi hotspots.
